Our Story
Balaji Consultants was established with a particular focus on the processing and re-refining of used lubricating oils. Over more than two decades, this specialisation has developed into comprehensive capability covering re-refining technology selection, process development, engineering, equipment design, plant construction, commissioning, revamps and performance optimisation.
Our experience encompasses multiple re-refining process routes rather than dependence on a single technology. This enables us to evaluate the feedstock, required product quality, plant capacity, available utilities and investment objectives before recommending the appropriate configuration.
Over the years, our process engineering capabilities have also been applied to lubricant blending, grease manufacturing, crude-oil topping, solvent processing and other selected process-plant applications. These complement our core specialisation in used-oil re-refining.

Engineering Philosophy
Every used-oil feedstock is different, and therefore every re-refining project requires careful process selection. We begin with the feedstock and required product rather than a predetermined equipment package. Feedstock characteristics, product specifications, capacity, available utilities, operating philosophy, site constraints and project economics are evaluated before the process configuration is selected.
Only after the process route is established do we engineer the equipment, piping, structures, utilities, instrumentation and plant configuration required to translate that technology into a robust operating facility.
We do not begin with a standard plant. We begin with the used oil, the required base oil and the appropriate process route.

With more than two decades of experience centred on used-lubricating-oil re-refining, process technology selection and complete plant execution, Darshan Jindal has led the development and implementation of multiple re-refining configurations across India and international markets. His experience includes batch, semi-continuous and continuous processing, high-vacuum WFE systems, solvent extraction, regenerative clay polishing, plant revamps and capacity upgrades, together with selected projects in lubricant blending, grease manufacturing and related process industries.
His practical engineering approach, combined with close technical involvement throughout every stage of project execution, ensures that each facility is designed not only to be commissioned successfully, but to operate efficiently and reliably throughout its lifecycle.
